Method for determining particle size composition distribution of magnesium alloy particles
MACH Technology Document No.: MACH/ZCH-ZG-027 Scope of application: Magnesium alloy particles obtained by milling method for semi-solid die casting products. Testing equipment: Φ200 standard inspection sieve machine, screen mesh specification: stainless steel woven mesh, a total of 7 layers, sampling method to implement GB/T5314-2011 "Powder metallurgy powder sampling method". Samples were taken with a sampling spatula and a sampling needle to measure the particle size distribution and chemical composition of each barrel, bag, upper, middle and lower parts. The sample taken is carefully mixed uniformly, and the average sample is taken out, and the mass thereof should be not less than 1000 g. ....... If only the particle size distribution does not meet the standard requirements, the team can rescreen the particles in this batch. The method of re-screening the particles is still carried out according to the above method. The qualified report is put into the warehouse. If the batch is unqualified, the batch is judged as waste and will not be re-screened.

    The sampling of magnesium alloy particles is determined by the quality tube.
    The sampling method implements the provisions of Table 1 of GB/T5314-2011 "Sampling Method for Powder Metallurgy Powder", specifically:

Note: For each additional 100 or less than 100 powder contents, a sampling container should be added.
    1. Samples were taken with a sampling spatula and a sampling needle to measure the particle size distribution and chemical composition of each barrel, bag, upper, middle and lower parts.
      The sample taken is carefully mixed uniformly, and the average sample is taken out, and the mass thereof should be not less than 1000 g.
      The average sample is divided into two equal parts, one for particle size inspection and chemical analysis, and the other for tightly sealed containers, which are stored in the laboratory for 5 months for inspection.
      Open the screen of each layer of the standard inspection sieve machine for fine cleaning, clean and reload and start the sieve machine. After the operation is normal, the particles to be inspected will be added to the standard inspection sieve one after another. After all the addition, the sieve will be sifted for 10 minutes to turn off the standard inspection sieve. Machine, then remove each layer of screen for careful cleaning and categorization of the particles.
      The granules classified after sieving are carefully weighed and recorded (in grams) with a balance, and then the percentage of each type of mesh is calculated to confirm whether it meets the standard requirements.
      If the particle size distribution and chemical composition of the tested particles meet the standard requirements, the inspector may issue a qualified report form for the magnesium alloy particles in this batch, and the warehouse may be put into storage; if any of the particle size distribution and chemical composition are not verified If the particle size distribution does not meet the standard requirements, the team can rescreen the particles in this batch. The qualified report can be issued into the warehouse. If the batch is unqualified, it is judged as waste and will not be re-screened.
